If you have the choice between just doing a standard senior portraits in the studio, or having an adventurous day-long session where you can explore and have an awesome time, DO THAT! Emma wasn't sure what to do for her senior portraits, but she knew she wanted to do them on Anna Maria Island because she has spent countless fun and sun-filled days there with her family growing up in Bradenton, Florida.
Rather than just picking the beach, we decided to go for a lifestyle, wandering feel that kind just looks like an advertisement for how awesome Anna Maria Island is. And we never even saw Gulf side of the water!
We started out on Pine Avenue -- which is the perfect spot for a stroll -- and our first stop was for coffee at The Waffle Press. Sadly, no waffles were consumed, but their espresso is top notch and I hear the food is even better. And all outdoor seating is good if you're trying to social distance.
After walking a bit, we stopped at Poppos Taqueria for lunch, Emma's absolute favorite.
Then we wandered down a few shady side streets and found some lovely green backdrops to take photos in her gown.
Then it was off to Coquina beach with the cute little blue changing huts.
After that we went down to the Beach Street Pier for some pics on the Bay side of the Island.
Finally, we wrapped it up with a scoop of ice cream at Joe's Eats and Sweets on Bradenton Beach.
Overall a blast of a day. Congrats on graduating Emma!
