Evening family portrait session at Tom Bennett Park

This was one of the most fun shoots I have done to date. This awesome family is full of characters and they were full of energy. They're also photogenic as heck, if I do say so. The kids were bringing it when it comes to the smiles and the poses. They literally had me cracking up the entire time.

A lot of times it's tough to get the teenagers to be animated, so I was really grateful for their cooperation. It reminded me that photo shoots are really meant to be a fun shared experience. You get to spend time together as a family as you play around and be goofy.

I had never been to Tom Bennet before for fun or for work, until I went to scout out the location for this session. t's really convenient to I-75 on State Road 64, so it makes it an ideal spot to do a family portrait session in Bradenton. I really like that there's a lot of openness and some really awesome looking trees (that moss, am I right?!!!) It's an awesome spot if you're looking for those picturesque Florida shots and you need a lot of space. I also really appreciated how mom picked coordinating colors that didn't feel too matchy-matchy. I think it worked well with the backdrop.

I think my favorite has to be all the kids on the fence. Feels a little cheesy, but the kids did it all on their own and it was the perfect mix of hilarious and adorable. As the sun started going down, we go some amazing peeks of that golden glow, which gives these shots a magical touch. Enjoy the sampling of the highlights from this session.

Thanks for stopping by!
